DESCRIPTION:Please join Phillipa Hood\, MA\, Clinical Psychology\, SFU Autism and Developmental Disabilities Lab\, for an\ninformational meeting on a research study on ““Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Self-Harming and\nSuicidal Autistic People”. \nThis study will employ a neurodiversity-affirming approach\, with an autistic therapist running the DBT Skills Training groups. \nDBT is a mindfulness and cognitive-behavioural  based intervention. The aim is to teach life skills in 4\nareas: mindfulness\, emotion regulation\, distress tolerance\, and interpersonal effectiveness. \nEligibility: Autistic adults (19-50 years old) living in BC. Diagnosed\, or\, if you suspect you are autistic\,\nyou may still be eligible. Have struggled with self- harming or suicidal behaviours over the last 5 years.
