Growing adult populations in BC are being excluded from accessing supports and the understanding and acceptance that a formal autism diagnosis provides. Over the last two years, AutismBC has seen a 70% increase in the inquires about adult assessment and a 190% increase in inquires on the provision of other adult services. The first movie choice this fall is the 2018 film “Roma” Written & directed by Alfonso Cuaron, it follows the life of a livein housekeeper of a middle-class family, it is based upon Cuaron’s upbringing (1970-71) in the Colonia Roma neighbourhood of Mexico City. Meeting: Autism Campus Training

Sarah Symonds of the Sinneave Family Foundation in Calgary was our first speaker of our 2021-22 meeting series. Sarah is the Online Program Facilitator at the Sinneave Family Foundation and a graduate of the University of Calgary's Psychology program. This program is for any adult motivated to become more effective in their social interactions, and to become happier and more comfortable with being with others.
